The rules of using MotorLink.

By creating a MotorLink account, listing a car, contacting a dealer through the platform, or otherwise using any part of the service, you agree to be bound by these terms and by our Privacy Policy.

If you do not agree, do not use MotorLink. It’s that simple.

You must be at least 18 years old to create a MotorLink account. You are responsible for keeping your password secret and for everything that happens on your account.

Tell us immediately if you believe your account has been compromised — write to support@motorlink.co.ke.

If you publish a car listing on MotorLink, you agree that:

• You have the legal right to sell the vehicle described.
• All information (price, mileage, year, VIN, inspection status) is accurate at the time of posting.
• Photos are your own or licensed to you.
• You will update or take down the listing within 48 hours of the car being sold.
• You will respond to buyer enquiries within the response-time standards of your dealer plan.

We reserve the right to edit, relabel or remove any listing that we believe is misleading, fraudulent, or violates these terms.

MotorLink is a listing platform. We are not a party to any sale. The contract for the car is strictly between you and the dealer. We do not hold your money in escrow, we do not ship cars, and we do not guarantee a vehicle’s mechanical condition.

We do verify that the dealer is real, their phone works, and their listing matches reasonable market norms. If a dealer breaks those promises, report them and we’ll act.

Reviews, Q&A, comments and tips are your own opinion — but by posting them on MotorLink you grant us a worldwide, royalty-free licence to display, distribute and reformat them on the platform and in editorial context.

You are solely responsible for what you post. Specifically, you will not post:

• Defamatory claims you cannot substantiate.
• Racist, sexist or otherwise discriminatory content.
• Personal information of people who haven’t consented (phone numbers, plates etc.).
• Spam, affiliate links, or undisclosed paid promotion.

MotorLink is free for buyers. Dealers choose a plan — Basic, Pro or Agency — with monthly or yearly billing. Prices are shown in KES and include 16% VAT where applicable.

You can cancel a plan at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. We don’t do pro-rata refunds for mid-cycle cancellations.

You may not:

• Scrape, mirror or republish MotorLink data without our written permission.
• Automate account creation, listings or enquiries.
• Impersonate another dealer or buyer.
• List stolen vehicles or vehicles with a salvaged title disguised as clean.
• Attempt to discover security vulnerabilities without going through our disclosure programme.

The MotorLink name, logo, editorial articles, photographs taken by our staff, research data and the platform software are owned by MotorLink Performance Systems Ltd. or our licensors.

You may link to our content. You may not copy an article, photograph or dataset onto another site without our written permission. Syndication requests: support@motorlink.co.ke.

We can suspend or close your account if we believe you’ve broken these terms, if we’re compelled to by law, or if we stop operating the service. We’ll give you reasonable notice unless there’s an active safety or legal reason not to.

You can close your account at any time from your settings page.

MotorLink is provided “as is”. We don’t guarantee that a listing will sell, that a dealer will honour a price, or that a car is mechanically perfect. Our total liability for anything arising out of your use of the service is capped at the fees you’ve paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

None of these terms limit your rights under the Kenyan Consumer Protection Act or other mandatory law.

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Kenya. Disputes will be handled by the competent courts of Nairobi, unless both parties agree to binding arbitration under the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (Kenya Branch) rules.
