Common questions

What most sellers ask before they list

Is listing really free?

Yes. Private sellers list free — photos, messages and pricing tools are included. The only paid feature is promotion (bumping your listing), which is entirely optional.

Do you take commission when I sell?

No. You keep 100% of the sale price. MotorLink makes money from dealer subscriptions and optional listing promotions, not seller cuts.

Can I stay anonymous?

Your phone number is hidden by default. Buyers message you through MotorLink until you choose to reveal it — and only verified buyers can send messages.

What if NTSA transfer is disputed?

We keep a tamper-proof copy of your listing, messages and the agreed price. If disputed, you can download the bundle and submit it to NTSA or your insurer.

How long do most cars take to sell?

The median is six days. Budget hatchbacks under KSh 1M sell in 2 – 4 days; premium SUVs over KSh 8M typically take 2 – 3 weeks.

Can a dealer co-list my car?

Yes. Consignment listings let a verified dealer market your car alongside their stock for a flat fee (no commission). You still agree the final price.
