Buying a car

  • How do I know a dealer is legitimate?

    Every dealer on MotorLink is onboarded manually. We verify trading premises, KRA PIN and ownership docs before a dealer can post a listing. Dealers that clear the checks carry a green Verified badge on their card and showroom.

  • How do I contact a dealer?

    Open any listing and use the Contact dealer form, or tap Call / WhatsApp. Every conversation you start lands in your account inbox at /account/messages so nothing gets lost.

  • Can I see a car before I commit?

    Yes. When you send a lead, tell the dealer you'd like a viewing or test drive. You can also request a pre-purchase inspection report from the listing page itself.

  • Do you offer financing?

    We partner with licensed Kenyan lenders. Head to /finance to see live rate guidance and apply — we never share your data until you opt in.

Selling a car

  • Do I pay to list my car?

    Private sellers list a single car for free on MotorLink. We only charge when you upgrade to featured placement or when a dealer handles the sale end-to-end.

  • How do I get a valuation?

    Start at /sell/valuation — we use live Kenyan market data (not a global calculator) to price your car, and refresh the number monthly in your garage.

  • How does the dealer-handled sale work?

    Upload your car, and a verified MotorLink dealer can take it on consignment, detail it, market it, and close the deal. You set a floor price — they handle everything else.

For dealers

  • How do I join MotorLink as a dealer?

    Apply at /dealer — we manually vet every dealership. Once approved, your team gets access to the dealer console: inventory, leads, promotions, reviews, and reports.

    We have tiered plans for dealers of different sizes. Contact sales@motorlink.co.ke for pricing — we don't run surprise fees.

Account & safety

  • Can I delete my account?

    Yes, permanently. Email support@motorlink.co.ke from the address on file and we'll remove your account within 30 days, as required by the Kenya Data Protection Act.

  • How do you protect my data?

    We only hold what we need to run the platform. Read the full policy at /privacy — our DPO is reachable at support@motorlink.co.ke.

  • I think I've been scammed.

    Stop paying immediately, keep every message, and email support@motorlink.co.ke with the listing URL. We'll investigate and, where warranted, remove the dealer and support you in reporting it.
